Q:
How to update shared preferences before a long running task completes?
I have an app that has many screens. When I enter an item in the editText I want to update the shared preferences and when the task is completed call a function to update the data in all the screens.
I don't want to use alarm to update the data, because it updates the data everytime the user switches to another screen.
My question is how do I update the data before the task is completed?
A:
You can override onStop() and onDestroy() in each activity to update the shared preference.
To update the shared preference,
SharedPreferences.Editor edit = getSharedPreferences("PREFERENCE_NAME", MODE_PRIVATE).edit();
edit.putString("SOME_KEY", "SOME_VALUE");
edit.commit();
So in onStop() and onDestroy() you can update the shared preference and whenever required you can check the shared preference and set the values using getString().
With the growing popularity of recreational and competitive sports, physical therapy has become more and more commonplace. However, sports medicine is not a part of most physical therapy curricula and is instead typically added as an elective course of study after completion of the general physical therapy program. The majority of physical therapists completing a general physical therapy program in the United States, for example, earn a master's degree and then enter into a period of supervised clinical practice for at least three years. During this three-year period, physical therapists must demonstrate competency in the treatment of a wide range of patients, including patients with musculoskeletal injuries. Accordingly, physical therapists must attend many hours of formal lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on treatment sessions in order to learn and practice physical therapy, and must undergo a rigorous examination to obtain licensure.
Over the past several decades, the practice of physical therapy has changed. While physical therapy treatment techniques have remained generally unchanged, the general public's perception of physical therapy has changed. While the general public formerly viewed physical therapy as a relatively inexpensive alternative to surgery, today, most people ac619d1d87
